A rigid flexible circuit may have a circuit board either externally or internally. They consist of multiple inner layers of flexible circuits. The advantages of rigid flexible circuits include high reliability and flexibility of design options. Rigid flexible circuits contain more materials than flat flexible circuits. These materials include rolled annealed copper, electrodeposited copper, epoxy resin, acrylic acid, prepreg, pressure sensitive, adhesive free base material, FR-4, polyimide, polyester, solder resist, flexible solder resist and imageable coating. Rigid flexible circuits are found in many fields of electronic products, such as military and medical fields.
Flexible circuit / FPCB application
In addition to high-end, complex complete components, FPCB is also widely used in daily technology and electronic products. The most prominent examples of the use of flexible circuits are modern portable electronic devices, devices, hard drives and desktop printers.
